From Beale Street to Oblivion

From Beale Street to Oblivion

Genre: Blues

Tracks: 12

Full Breakdown ensues:

Track 1: You Can’t Stop Progress – Great headbanging intro and wonderful guitar work make this song awesome – 9/10

Track 2: Power Player – Like “You Can’t Stop Progress,” “Power Player” delivers an excellent headbanger with some bitchin’ vocals to back it up. 9/10

Track 3: The Devil & Me – This song is pure blues. 10/10

Track 4: White’s Ferry – A slower song than the first three tracks, “White’s Ferry” delivers a pretty good jam. 8/10

Track 5: Child of the City – “Child of the City” is mainly a vocal-driven song in my opinion. That being said, it’s awesome. AND IT HAS BITCHIN’ SYNTH-BREAKS. 9/10

Track 6: Electric Worry – Bang, Bang, Bang, Bang! 11/10

Track 7: One Eye Dollar – This song is way too short. It’s still insane, though. 8/10

Track 8: Rapture of Riddley Walker – From the sexy guitar effects to the terrific drumwork, this song, while not as good vocally as the others, is great for the music. 8/10

Track 9: When Vegans Attack – Hahaha. 8/10

Track 10: Opossum Minister – As with “The Devil & Me,” pure blues with some of the best vocals on the album. 9/10

Track 11: Black Umbrella: With excellent drums, bass, guitar, and vocals, this song is perfection. 10/10

Track 12: Mr. Shiny Cadillackness: This is the third-greatest song on the album, everything about this song is great. 10/10

Overall: 10.9/10

Definitely Download:

“Electric Worry”

“Mr. Shiny Cadillackness”

“Black Umbrella”
